The Outlaw
Super Stock 4X4
Martin Motorsport started pulling its first truck “The Outlaw” in 2003 with Tyler Martin as the driver. The truck was obtained in early 2002 from Ron Jack which was his old “Bounty Hunter” truck. After completely redoing the truck from the ground up it was renamed “The Outlaw”. It was ready just in time for the start of the 2003 season. Starting out the first few pulls were rough, with bad luck, part failures and just getting used to the truck. Things turned around quickly reaching success by winning its first pull at the Butler Farm Show half way through the season and finishing 4th at Keystone State National in the first season.
“The Outlaw” has been competing every year since 2003 on the major Super Stock point series covering PA, OH, WV, and NY. Finishing outside of the top 10 in points only once in full season competition. We are 2 time Points Champion with Northwest PA Truck and Tractor Pullers Association, 2 time Points Championships with Western PA Truck and Tractor Pullers, Inc, a 1 time Points Champion with Pennsylvania Tractor Pullers Association. We pulled a limited schedule in 2012 & 2013. In 2012 we captured our First Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League win at the Green County Fair in Waynesburg, PA. In 2013 we ran 11 events obtaining a 2nd, 4th and doing a lot of research & development work for 2014.
The truck has gone through many upgrades to stay competitive over the years. Such as newer more powerful engines, multi disk clutch, SCS quick change transfer case, a bigger rear end, and moving from the 31” to the 34” pulling tires.
